I'll hopefully hear the Neon 4 this coming weekend at CanJam NYC. I will *try* to post some impressions after, with the preface that I'm pretty audio illiterate when it comes to sharing what I hear on a technical level. Also knowing that CanJam will be a rather quick listen in a noisy atmosphere. Excited to hear them along with the Krypton 5 and Xenon 6 regardless, though!

No worries! If you used the same rig to measure all three iems, perhaps you could provide a quick discussion of how your measured graphs differed between bass, low-mid, upper-mid, and treble? It should give us an idea if the Xe6, Kr5, and Ne4 were all measured with the old rig. Just a thought.

my original Veritas 2 coupler with ARTA software wasn't as reliable when taking measurements, but you are right - good for a relative comparison if you take error offset into consideration. I switched to IEC60318 compliant coupler and REW software now.

So, take these peaks with a grain of salt (bass is more elevated in Veritas coupler). But in a relative comparison this is how it looked:

The IEM designer is such a time suck haha. I swear I’ve ran through damn near every shell + faceplate combo available and still don’t know what I’d order if I were to go forward with a custom.

I got matte white! Should look like this for the Kr5.

I thought the same. Now i really want to try it...

Edit: actually the XE6 from 500hz up looks good too. I would probably need to tone down 250-500hz significantly though..

It's been two weeks since I placed my order and sent them 3D scans of the impressions. They haven't started building my Kr5s yet... but hopefully soon. (Just to give you an update on how long you can expect to wait.) They state a build time of 3 weeks on their web page.
