To be honest with you, I have tried the Trifecta and I was thinking like who would like this type tuning ? But I think we all hear things differently. I actually didn’t like any of CA iems, astrolith is the best out of CA stuff but still nothing special.

XE6 bass is fantastic and definitely not too much bass it’s just right for me same with RN6 but those highs are too exciting At times where you just wanna relax, that’s why I got perpetua and I liked the perpetua more than the Ventura.

XE6, RN6 are very engaging listening experience that actually will make you wanna dance.

definitely you gonna upgrade from Trifecta to XE6, imho XE6 is definitely a better iem and it’s tuned better than trifecta, bass slams very very hard yet you still getting good resolution and dynamics.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and observations. How is the synergy of XE6 with Sony WM1ZM2 and AK SP2000t? What sources/dongles/daps are you using?

I think the XE6 has the most amazing bass. It's amazing. I've never seen anything like this before.

Currently my good dap is Hiby R8ii also I use R6P2 and Questyle CMA18, and I can swear that the ProjectK’s silver cable is the best pairing for XE6 when I tried it back in CanJam Singapore as it makes XE6 more neutral without loosing its magic, but will have to confirm once I receive the cable. I was cable rolling for XE6 and most cables made it more bright except PK’s cable.

It gives me great pleasure to present our in-depth overview/review of FIR Audio's Xe6/Rn6 custom IEMs - including the new metal shell option. You'll find it online here. Enjoy!

Great review! Really proves why going with a custom Rn6 and Xe6 is worth the investment.

To those that went to Canjam, did any of the FIR reps suggest when they might seize to manufacture Rn6 customs?

Nice review brother I liked the visual box for comparing uni and customs.
I seem to like custom RN6 more than Universal but I like XE6 universal more than custom.

Bogdan told me that RN6 CIEM production will stop once PorjectK gets released, and I’m in touch with Fir’s rep in china they suggested that ProjectK will go in production in a week so.

I've had my Rn6 up for sale for a while after buying another set of earphones however I've decided to take listing down. Not because the new IEMs are disappointing but because I can have the them co existing with the Rn6 and Z1R.

I also thought that given the second hand market prices I'd end up regretting selling the Rn6. Especially as they don't seem to be being bettered by much out there (I know this is purely down to personal taste)

Wait wait wait

Full metal customs? I can think of a design or two that will work with that...

hello everyone!
Do you notice any difference when pairing Fir Audio IEM with desktop DACs compared to portable ones?
Depends on the delta. I get heaps out of the Mojo 2 vs RME. BTR17 is just fine when I'm lazy and want Bluetooth.

The FiR Frontier series have a relatively high impedance so you can use them on tube amps as well at the desktop and there won't be much of an OI issue for 4.4 sources that aren't sub 1.2 Ohms. (My EVO is 4 Ohms and some 4.4 outputs have 1.8-2.2 OI and it has an effect in the sound vs sub 1Ohm outputs I may even adapt down to single ended for)
