Audio-Technica Ath-A700 ( is this a big upgrade over MDR-XD400? )

Koss KSC-55 ( portable, love the looks, sound as good as ksc-35's? )

BTW, regarding grados.. cant find this for the life of me.... How low do they go...

I am tempted to order some SR80's with a Pa2v2 instead of the above... and do the basshead mod for the sr80's............... HMMMMMMMMMMMM

Never heard the KSC55. But The KSC75, KTX and UR40 (same driver as the KSC55) all are noticeably brighter and more aggresive than the KSC35/porta.

Well if you want to try the KSC 55 first it has a similar bright sound to the Grado's. Haven't heard the A700's though, but they definitely don't seem to offend anyone around here.
