Ostry C100/200/300
I only recently purchased these and feel like they do reel in the treble but sacrifice some of the clarity and incisive magic. received the tanchjim T-APB T300B at the same time and find them excellent at smoothing some peaks while retaining the standout characteristics. Also as of late I've been unexpectedly loving the A8000 on my tube/hybrid amps, huge stage

As for the Ostry, they were my best fit overall, but as you mention, they « sacrifice ». I would say it was like the sound was quieter (same volume pot level), a tad muffled.
I had high hopes after reading about people doubling up on the filters to tame the treble but as you said the result was a muffled sound. at least they were cheap. The azla max tips were better. after some more tip rolling tonight I'm back to the divinus velvets being my favorite for both comfort and sound. I've got some eletech baroque and azla crystal tips on the way because I love spending money unnecessarily

Well, Crystal didn't do it for me. Neither Divinus Velvet unfortunately... and as Eletech are very alike the Divinus from what I gathered, I didn't dare spending unnecessarily in them knowing fully well they won't fit me.
Although I'm more than happy to have your impression. If they do something just a little better than the Divinus, then, why not try?

I just received the A8000 in a trade (for the Z1R) and have had them in my ears for just over an hour straight. I'm using them on the Go Blu with the bass boost on. These are impressive. I don't find the treble to be harsh, just very present and detailed. One song there was sibilance. Will try the Ares II cable on them and tip roll as well but I was nervous for a bit that the treble would really bother me, but I guess I am not overly sensitive to treble even though I can hear pretty high frequencies. Going to listen to these for some more hours and tip roll as well and get a solid impression of them.

I like the divinus velvet, ePro EP00,
tanchjim T-APB and stock final tips the most. plug them into your liquid platinum for a fun time

Hi all,

FiiO have released an IEM called the FA19, I wonder how that compares with the A8000 for sound quality?

Anyone know?
Fiio FA19 - 10 BA drivers (900€)
Final A8000 - 1 Berylium Dynamic Driver (2000€)

Why would these be somehow comparable..? Apart from both being IEMs, the similarities end there.

Thanks for answering, and I hope your Sunday is a positive one, friend.

The A8000 now here in UK retails for £900. Also technology moves fast. Some mid range level sets released now sound better than the flagships that costed over £2000 a few years ago.

That's why I asked.

Price doesn't mean much anymore.

For example, to me the Truthear Hexa sounds better than Sennheiser IE900. Hundreds of pounds price difference.
That's just one of many examples.

Again, it's 10 BA drivers vs 1 dynamic driver... it's an apples to oranges comparison. These don't have anything in common.

You know, it is possible to compare different items. Comparisons don't always need to be like to like.

I enjoy making all sorts of comparisons to learn more.

Respectfully.

Whilst my question to you may sound ridiculous, it's not to me.

Whilst you may not be able to answer, that's fine. Hopefully someone else will.

Have a good Sunday

About FA19, I don't know. Perhaps less intense, and these are a full armature set, vs a single beryllium dynamic driver.

About the A8000, if you like an intense, bright, very dynamic, crisp, fast, precise, punchy and very (very) clean rendition (thus slightly metallic timbres), this is it. Diamond clear, mild "w" shaped target curve, to resume. 🙂

But, beware of the fit and the associations (cable, dap, tips). It can be rapidly "too much" and inappropriate : these are a formula one, made for real drivers. 😁

And if you like smooth, relaxed renditions : run, you fool 🫣 😅

Thank you, my friend.

I'm one of those people who loves all types of sound signatures. I love transparent, very bright and intense in your face presentation and I also love dark, warm, thick, treble rolled off signature.

I'm very open minded in life. As long as the signature is top quality I will find it good.

Eg I love Grado, and I love Sony.

Did anyone see the SIVGA Que? It's a berrylium driver it claims. No idea if it's only just a coating.

I don't trust Sivga to tune anything correct due to their horrible planar headphone attempts.

But I see some people already put some squigs of their Sivga Que in this case:

Not my graph:
