Sadly I don't think it fixes the problems with the JA11 - still occasionally when I connect I get terrible distortion and have to disconnect and reconnect and the incorrect FR values for the PEQ is still a problem needing 2x values

Best regards

I have 1.8 and updated with my android dap but then I measured the peq filters using REW on a MacBook ProDear friend,
Hi, which mobile phone are you connecting to? And are using using the latest 1.8 firmware version?
Best regards
But I will post a image of the measurements in a few days ( actually attending the Canjam in London today )
New colour? Titanium.

Well, just updated (or at least tried to) my JA11’s firmware using the Fiio Control app on my wife’s Pixel 7a.
It bricked the JA11.
Neither the Pixel, nor my iPhone 15 Pro, my Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, or my iPhone SE gen1 will recognise the dongle anymore.
I want to like Fiio’s/Jade Audio’s products, but I’m at the end of my tether. Their concepts are fantastic, but their implementation is abysmal.
To Fiio/Jade Audio: YOU REALLY NEED TO IMPROVE YOUR QUALITY CONTROL.
I now have a KA11 that cuts out from overheating and a JA11 that no longer serves any purpose.
I’m going back to my Audioquest Dragonfly Red.

Was this the 1.8 firmware? I also just updated via my PC and it now also cannot be recognized by anything. Is there anyway to recover this or are we screwed?Well, just updated (or at least tried to) my JA11’s firmware using the Fiio Control app on my wife’s Pixel 7a.

Edit: Seems like a headphone needs to be plugged in now for my phone to recognize it, prior it would recognize the dongle on its own. This also works for PC

Yes, it was the 1.8 firmware. I’ve since tried it on my MacBook Air M2 and HP Envy. No joy. When I use the Fiio Connect app, on the Pixel or the Mi 9 SE I get a “no device is detected”’message. I’ve tried it both with headphones connected and disconnected. It seems my JA11 is dead.Was this the 1.8 firmware? I also just updated via my PC and it now also cannot be recognized by anything. So I measured the EQ with the 1.8 firmware and its a very odd bug - if you are interesting I posted it over on AudioScienceReview:
https://audiosciencereview.com/foru...port-for-peq-dsd128-pcm384.55160/post-2035872
But a quick summary for those you don't want to go:
This firmware I am using (which I believe is the latest as of this post):
Setting 3 different filters at 100Hz, 700Hz and 2000Hz:
I end up with this EQ (when measuring a FiiO FD15):
The actual PEQ values set are 1.83x times the original value so:
100Hz -> 183Hz when measured
700Hz -> 1280Hz when measured
2000Hz -> 3670Hz when measured
So it's 'workable' with a calculator to set the correct EQ - but please @FiiO if you could fix this it would be an amazing dongle (especially at the price).

If the firmware update fails. Please try updating with PC. It won't be damaged. We want to introduce a more convenient way to upgrade the firmware. However, there are currently some issues with receiving updates, and we will continue to analyze improvements. thank youWell, just updated (or at least tried to) my JA11’s firmware using the Fiio Control app on my wife’s Pixel 7a.

Updated to 1.8 and still getting distortion unfortunately.
I connected headphones with a microphone. When making a call, there is no sound through the headphones. The latest firmware is 1.8. The microphone function in Fiio control is enabled. When connecting the headphones directly to the phone, everything works fine.
What model is your phone? Some phones do not have permission.I connected headphones with a microphone. When making a call, there is no sound through the headphones. The latest firmware is 1.8. Our previous tests have improved, and now we have found a new issue. Please wait for us to further optimize.thank youSo I measured the EQ with the 1.8 firmware and its a very odd bug - if you are interesting I posted it over on AudioScienceReview:
