I don't know Amazon music but it uses exclusive mode like Tidal? Android system plays music at 48khz unless the music app has exclusive access to the dac.

Amazon music does not currently have an exclusive mode. So it follows system SRC.

Today my KA11 (type-c black) has arrived from FiiO Aliexpress. It has already the latest firmware. Made a quick test with my Xiaomi 13T android 14 phone. Fiio control app works, Tidal recognises the KA11 so exclusive mode works.

I've made some tests with KA11. On android with Tidal app as I wrote earlier the exclusive access works, but the sampling rate is not fully correct. If I play a hires file it shows the correct sample rate. Tried with 88.2 khz, 96khz, 192khz. But if I play a standard 44.1khz it shows 48khz everytime. I've tried it with PC too, it shows correctly there.

I've made another tests with UAPP with multiple different sample rate files and it worked correctly. In Fiio Control app the sample rate was correct with every test files. So it seems the Tidal app is bugged. I've made test with my Fiio KA2 and it was the same. So the KA11 works correctly.

I have 2 of the KA11, one for iPhone and one Android and I think the sound is amazing, but it’s the size and weight that make it so portable and hassle free compared to any of my other dongles that have earned it a special place in my collection. I don’t think you can beat this for price/performance/practicality and if I had to give away all my portable dacs and keep only one this is the one I’d keep. Pair it with an iPhone and the Hiby app or Android and the Fiio app and get a great sounding, feature packed DAP that’s perfect for local file playback!
