Noise cancelling in fiio

That is CVC8.0 so just for calls. These do not have a noise cancelling mode.

Those are good points.

I personally gravitate towards the CCA though because:

1. Quite a lot cheaper.

2. I don't need noise cancelling for how I'm going to use it, also it compromises sound quality. If passive isolation is good enough, the omission of ANC won't be much of an issue.

3. I'm not a huge fan of single BA designs.
I have never experienced a single BA that can portray the entire human audio spectrum in a convincing and effortless way... It always ends up sounding strained and artificial, especially at the frequency extremes. It seems it's too much to ask from 1 BA.

4. Hybrid design. Strengths of two driver technologies.

Dude this is the FW1 thread. Why keep bringing up a KZ/CCA product here? Ask in the CCA thread. Besides the issues with pretty much all their true wireless so far few will buy them until the reviews report they have no connection or other issues. They are cheap for certain reasons, cheaper chinese drivers, cheaper batteries that are known to lose capacity quicker, and cheaper antenna giving the connection and range issues that have been reported.

driver doesnt amount to anything related to tuning.

Sometime, multiple driver do more destructive stuff

And, I have been making iem for past 5years myself. Tuning in multiple driver is hassle on phase, time domain, weird electrical impedances etc..

Atleast, on single BA, fiio has total control over it..

What we want actually is through the app, shifting the eq response to multiple different target

Source stock sound
Harman response target
Diffuse field

Through convolution
I mean, having multiple iem on the go with signal correction on phone for this specific model or etc
Yep. Look, honestly, I just prefer to ignore the size of the drivers, number of drivers, etc. It just needs to sound good.

With the growing development of micro-electronics the recent BT iem's are getting very capable as compared to wired ones. For my use 90% of my listening are now done the better ones in the market now. For devoted music listening I still use a dedicated dac/ amp and wired earphones.

I've noticed alot of companies in the chi-fi realm doing this. They say environmental noice cancellation, or judt noise cancellation, but it just applies to the micropohne during phone calls. So ...scammey (lol).
It's not that easy to implement a GOOD ANC solution. They prefer doing something without ANC instead of giving us a bad implementation of ANC.
I think one of the most important things on a pair of TWS earbuds is a good app with an EQ and some other features...that way you can always tweak the sound
if you don't really like it.

Yep, I agree. What I meant was that sometimes companies sort of mislead you by saying that their buds feature "Environmental Noise Cancellation" - nowhere do they say ANC, but the average Joe sees "Noise Cancellation" and so they think ANC - why would anyone default to thinking that means reduction in background noise during phone calls?? Just super misleading.

Any plans to introduce them to other markets in the future or the limitation will be permanent? Hope there is a chance to get them to arrive on polish market as they seem great for their price :)
Dear friend,

Thanks for your interest. We will consider about that according to the feedback from the market.

Best regards

Hi FiiO, I just received my pair of FW1's in the mail today. Listening to them right now as we speak, and was wondering if you'll be offering an app in future by way of firmware updates in the future?

So far so good guys! I definitely needed a better seal on them, so some Comply tips remedied that for me and the sound was much better.
