USB DAC function fell out of some units when the delivery truck was involved in a traffic incident. I'm sorry.

Any word on the USB dac? It's the one thing holding me back from buying it

I see a lot of posts about USB DAC request. I don't get it. Nice feature to have but wouldn't most people be listening to their songs directly on X7 cord free?

With a laptop, it's pretty easy to listen to your music while on-the-go. You also have choices on which music program to use. I have been traveling a lot so I can't bring a desktop computer much less my Schiit stack to go with my headphones.

I’ve just gotten the DUNU DN-2000J IEMs and was feeling unsatisfied with the performance coupled with the Lotoo PAW Gold, actually preferring the lesser stature DUNU Titan 3s with the Lotoo DAP, then tried the 2000J with the FiiO X7, using the IEM’s bass adjustment ring, and the sound is incredibly mellifluous.  Has anyone else ever had this sort of revelatory union that changes your opinions?

Does anybody know if it is possible to control the X7 remotely with an iPhone (or Android) app? I'd like that so I can connect the X7 to my home stereo.
I sometimes have an issue with copying files using the ES File Explorer. I can go to my NAS folders and select them to be copied, but the copyproces fails. On other moments I don't have this issue. Could it be an SDcard problem? I have a Sandisk 200gb in the X7.

The DUNU DN2000J dovetail perfectly with the X7 without any EQ.  The only alteration I made was to add one of the attached rings to boost the bass.

I'm not sure if I follow. You want to control the X7 remotely or control the stereo remotely with the X7...or both? There are Air DACs and Bluetooth DACs which allow you to use the X7 to play through your home stereo wirelessly. It just so happens I'm waiting for the UPS man to deliver--this afternoon--a
Mass Fidelity Relay Hi-Fi Bluetooth DAC. Then my life will be complete, for the moment.

The X7 connects to your home stereo via a Bluetooth connection to the DAC. The DAC connects to your stereo amp/receiver with one pair of RCA cables. Yes, it is an arguably inferior BT connection, but this company and their admirers claim the sound transfer is superb. We shall see...

Also, I have the Sandisk 200Gb in my X7 and have had no problems. I loaded 99.9%  of the files in one fell swoop (138Gb / 7476 files) with the SD in the laptop. I've been using it many hours (now days) putting it through every conceivable configuration and hoop to jump through (also loading individual files here and there--conventional USB connection/drag & drop.)

I did stick the SD card into the X7 first and did nothing with it, so I'm assuming the X7 formatted it automatically, because later I checked the properties and it showed that it was formatted correctly. (That remains a mystery to me.)
