Does the X7 have any type of balance mode configuration?

now we changed to 2.5 balanced output with 3.5mm output ( can't work at the same time )

Hi James,

Just to make sure I/we understand your reply correctly.  Previously you were planning a balanced amp module with 2.5mm TRRS balanced connector (AK wiring) and 4pin Kobiconn balanced connector.  Are you suggesting now that balanced module will have 2.5mm TRRS Balanced connector and 3.5mm TRS single-ended connector (NO Kobiconn connector), and that you can use either 2.5mm or 3.5mm output but not both at the same time? If so, is there some relay switch between balanced and single ended depending on whichever HO output was connected first or can you implement a physical switch to select active HO?

Please clarify.  Thanks!

Excellent decision!!!  Will make everybody happy so you don't have to switch amp modules when you go between balanced and regular wired IEMs/CIEMs

I have a feeling this is going to be your most popular amp module

Excellent Choice James!

Kobicon is kinda too old now... 2.5mm TRRS is the new thing and a lot of us have 2.5mm balanced cables because of AK.

Please make this amp module sound amazing James.

Just received the x7! Little Android trick for you all. Go into settings, about x7, then tap build number about 10 times to get into developer mode. Now in the settings you'll see developer options where you can see process stats, show visual touches, etc...

James... have you seen this release by Texas Instruments ??   Might be a good candidate for the X7

The OPA1622 is the newest addition to the company's Burr-Brown™ Audio line and is the next generation of the widely adopted OPA1612. The new OPA1622 delivers high output power of up to 150 mW and extremely low distortion of -135 dB at 10 mW, enabling the highest performance for professional audio equipment.  The OPA1622's small size, low power consumption and low distortion can deliver high-fidelity audio in portable devices such as headphone amplifiers, smartphones, tablets and USB audio digital-to-analog converters (DACs). TI will demonstrate the OPA1622 at CES 2016.

Yes, they ( people came from Ti ) visit our office couple hours ago and X7 balanced amp module may be the first device which carry the OPA1622.

Hey James, device sounds awesome! Although I'm a bit disappointed that I cannot view song ratings or rate songs as I listen to them. Can you please incorporate the ability to view and edit song ratings in future fw updates? Thanks!

@JamesFiiO

Very disappointed with this decision - you promised us RSA/Alo connector as well as 2.5mm - now you chose 3.5mm & 2.5mm?

Very sorry , too many people asked us to make a 2.5 balanced output so they don't need to make a new cable.
