My screen has been acting funny for quite some time now. When I try to press the keys "N" and "H", it will go crazy and spam "JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ" or "GGGGGGGGGGGG" instead.
Which makes it REALLY difficult to type in. Above you can see a test in parts of the screen that go absolutely bonkers, It's all supposed to be very similar patters. With the wonky touch controls though, the pattern breaks and becomes distorted. As you can see with the middle of the first picture, and the second X. After those, in the third picture, the second half of the squigly line pattern completely breaks then it does so again in the last two squigly lines.

It's really aggravating to use sometimes, especially when searching for music with these characters. Please FiiO, if you can read this, fix this crappy little player. I know it's the software. It's worked fine with certain updates in the past before.

Hi RebeccaSugar,

Did you try to wipe the cache & data on X7  before ? if not ,please kindly try it first.

Surely we have already done this, but we did find not any problem with it. we think it might be the character codec or something. So it would be better if you could send us the track for testing. Thank you very much.

It's strange, because when i copied
Don´t Ever Let Nobody...

into a dummy flac file, it works. i've attached my file.

After reading hundreds of pages in this thread I bought an X7. I've been generally satisfied, with the exception of gapless play, and have been waiting for the betas to end before upgrading to 3.?. Last week I bought the K5 dock and that has causef me to join the forum and post. I'm not really pleased with the way the X7 docks, it really seems like something is going to eventally break. Once it is docked I can see that it is charging, but tjere is no sound. I could go back through 1000s of posts, but figure just throwing this out there might be quicker. Is there a setting I am missing or do i have an equipment problem?

At work right now, but thinking 2.0.

i'd say upgrade to firmware 3.1.3 or newer. they're quite stable, have gapless playback, and should work with the docking.

If that doesn't work either, I think you might have hardware failure on the X7 or docking,

If you have more than one amplifier module, you could test this with multiple.

  Dear Reboot,

Regarding X7 charging behaviour when connected to the K5:

1. While the device is charging
Because the computer USB port has limited current capacity, the battery is given priority for part of the charging current while the rest powers the device directly.  But if the current draw by the device is high, the battery participates in powering the device as well.  Hence, both the battery and the USB port take part in powering the device while the device is charging.
2. After the battery is full
Because there is no need to charge the battery anymore, the USB port would power the device directly.  The battery would neither be charged nor discharged.
In summary of the above, the powering scheme of the X7 ensures that the battery may be fully charged while at the same time guaranteeing proper function of the device.  Finally, the battery will be at rest after it is fully charged, thus guaranteeing extended battery life.

Best regards

This is not quite what I'm seeing with my X7/AM3(balanced)/HD800S setup. (FW 3.1.6)

I see this: 100% -> 95% -> 100% -> 95% -> 100% ...

The latest firmware shows the battery percentage at the top this is quite easy to see in real time..

I'm not using a K5 but the provided USB cable, would that be the reason ?

Using a USB voltmeter the device tuned on is drawing a constant 0.41A from the USB while charging/playing. (screen on or off)

Dear CH23,

Thank you for the example. The reply was made by other colleague before so she may not get all the detail and misunderstand something before. Sorry for bringing inconvenience to you. Hope you don't mind. We have reported this to the engineers.

Best regards

Dear Zike,

Are there another APP working in the background when this happens? Will the issue remain same if you used the recommended 5V,2A charger?

Best regards

I am trying to choose between the Sennheiser's HD650 and OPP0 PM-3 headphones to use with my X7 and AM2. I do like bass and I don't want to use a separate amplifier if I don't have to. Can someone recommend either one.

Thanks

If you mean the pm3 then I have them both and I have the x7 with the am2. If you don't want to use an amp then I'd go with the Oppo pm3. They are very easy to drive.

Using the headphone out, I hear faint noise in the background when streaming music with Tidal. The noise disappears when I disable the wifi.

This problem is not present when using the line out.
