Picked one up from this little spot. Charles is a good guy and the X3 seems to be an awesome little DAP/DAC!

Notraces? I seem to recall following you on Flickr - are you the one and same nature photographer? The iconic shot in your photostream for me was one one of a canoe...

That's me --- I don't remember a canoe though...

I spent some time with Charles in his shop - I listened to lots of phones - and amps. I ended up with the International and AK100. I'm quite happy with it (using Westone 4R's mostly).

He's extremely helpful and patient.

I've seen the X3 and really like it - in the end I really like the AK100 interface and overall sound and flexibility.

Well, I've been interested in great music even before I started photographing the world. I use to spend my newspaper route money on Thorens turntables and Phase Linear amps - and much more

Now, I just want something portable with awesome sound....
