Just got my Fiio X3 today and started loading up my music. Put in a few albums and then removed from usb and started playing. Sounds fantastic but unless I am missing something really obvious the way it handles the music database is a complete horror story.
I load my albums in folders so that eg Stevie Wonder would be stored in Male\Stevie Wonder\Album name. I have several albums of his so each has its own folder. When I use the players menu I can look either by albums or by artist. If I view by artist and then Stevie Wonder it does not display the tracks in album order or even grouped together as each album. Instead it displays them showing all of the track 1s from every album and then all the track 2s , 3, etc ....Nightmare!
If I browse by album it's fine as long as there are not more than 10 tracks because if there are it lists track 11 as the second track, 12 as the third and so on...Complete Nightmare!!! Does this player not know how to read ID tags?? Surely not.. I bought this player not because I want flash gizmo slick looks. I want a great sounding player and in that respect, this device fits the bill but come on, this is fundamental stuff, surely it can sort my music collection more elegantly than this?? It's truly horrible
If anyone can please advise how to sort this mess out I would be eternally grateful. (My mp3 collection tagged using mp3tag app.)
Thanks in advance!
