Just got my Fiio X3 today and started loading up my music. Put in a few albums and then removed from usb and started playing. Sounds fantastic but unless I am missing something really obvious the way it handles the music database is a complete horror story.

I load my albums in folders so that eg Stevie Wonder would be stored in Male\Stevie Wonder\Album name. I have several albums of his so each has its own folder. When I use the players menu I can look either by albums or by artist. If I view by artist and then Stevie Wonder it does not display the tracks in album order or even grouped together as each album. Instead it displays them showing all of the track 1s from every album and then all the track 2s , 3, etc ....Nightmare!

If I browse by album it's fine as long as there are not more than 10 tracks because if there are it lists track 11 as the second track, 12 as the third and so on...Complete Nightmare!!! Does this player not know how to read ID tags?? Surely not.. I bought this player not because I want flash gizmo slick looks. I want a great sounding player and in that respect, this device fits the bill but come on, this is fundamental stuff, surely it can sort my music collection more elegantly than this?? It's truly horrible

If anyone can please advise how to sort this mess out I would be eternally grateful. (My mp3 collection tagged using mp3tag app.)

Thanks in advance!

can you help us try another TF card, we have sold out about 5,000pcs X3 in China by now, very very few report about the compatibility of the TF card . also could you share with us about the

brand, class, and size of your TF card ?

I had the same issue with 64GB scandisk micro SD card.
Issue is with the format. I first did the wrong format and ex. storage shows 0.00
Please format with guiformat.exe and use setting allocation unit size 32768
This will do. It needs to show ext memory of 59.4GB

Have you enabled the auto-scan?

Have the same problem but this didn't work for me. My PC recognizes the card has been formatted and I can copy and paste files to it without problems however as soon as I stick it in the X3 it reads as 0 Smaller capacity cards I have are working fine, it is only the 64Gb that won't work.

Also the digital output doesn't work on my X3. The same cable works fine from another source but as soon as I plug the X3 in via the adapter there is zero volume. As I just received the X3 from Amazon today I am probably going to return it.

Had the same problem. PC recognize the card and ready/writing was possible. X3 was not able to read the card. New format with the settings above solved the problem.
Digital output doesn't work yet.

please help us describe the detail setting about how you use the digital out of X3, photos will be great . and make sure the input source of your AV receiver set to coaxial input .

this will help us figure out what happen caz there are not any user report this issues in China.

thanks in advance.

A big thanks from me as well for the advice on how to properly format the 64 card. I had the same problem. Fiio really needs to include info on setting allocation unit size 32768 in their instructions.
