Does anyone know what the latest firmware where the stop / start position was working without an issue. I just applied 3.21 firmware but it is unable to remember the last place I stopped listening.

Thanks,

Jason

Have you set Play settings->Resume mode to Last Position?

This is the exact issue I had with the FW right before the newest beta. The most current beta resolved the issue for me

I had this problem with firmware 3.2 and 3.21b.
Firmware 3.0, 3.22b and 3.24b for me doesn't have the issue remembering its track position. 3.2 had far to many problems for me to keep using it and it turns out that the latest 2 beta firmwares are much more stable.

Try out both of these and see which one you prefer:

I much prefer 3.22 as the battery indicator is quite a lot more accurate.

I just tried 3.22& 3.24 beta versions and none started the songs from the point I left off.
Just to be sure of the steps I did set set Play settings->Resume mode to Last Position and paused a track. The player shut off after the pre-set time (30 secs in my setup). I then powered on the player and got the main menu. I even pressed the Playing Now selection which took me to another set of options.
The previous firmware (sorry can't recall the version) started playing where I paused the track.

Folks,

New X3 user here, running on FW 3.24 beta (factory settings); need some major help with the micro SD card.

The device says 'TF card not found' whenever the external storage is selected. I'm using a SanDisk Ultra 32GB Class 10, formatted in FAT32.
When the card is removed or re-inserted, it says 'External SD card removed/ inserted' as the case may be. Once I got the card read, the 'About X3' setting showed the card as having entire 29.7GB as available, whereas I already had about 5GB of music in folders copied into it as a trial.

Requesting urgent help, thanks in advance.
And Merry Christmas!

Thanks for your suggestions, but after much discussion and advice from other users, I had to come to the conclusion that the unit was faulty for some reason. So I have returned it for a refund.

Thanks

Hi does anyone know does the latest firmware update allow one to breach the 5800 song limit ? Thanks

http://www.head-fi.org/t/742014/official-x3-firmware-thread-3-34beta-removed-5800-song-limit-play-through-folders-happy-chinese-new-year

This beta firmware has removed this limit and it is also much better in most ways. There is one minor problem with the quick menu but that is about it. There may be more problems as it is a beta firmware.

This thread is a bit old now and I feel that very few people will be using 3.21 so either the thread in the link or the official X3 thread would be the best place to talk about this.

Hi again . I download the 3.34 beta. I've noticed that some albums only show in the album search and some only appear in the external storage SD card as oppose to finding them in the artist menu . can you help ?.thanks
