Does anyone have a working "external" playlist for this DAP they can send me? I can't get one going

Hi, JeremayLaurenson
We have replied your PM. Please tried to see whether it works.

It may only be me but I wanted to ask if there is an option to press any button to wake the screen?

Hi, jmwreck
Sorry, we may not add this function to X1II. Only the power button is available for waking up the screen.

Do you hear a pop when the sample rate of the preceding/ following files is the same (i.e. the same album)?

Yes. Almost everytime I change a song, I hear a pop. Is it normal?

Hi, axcel
Could you tell us the format of your songs? Is it MP3 format?

I upgraded my X1ii to 1.3.3 and now I get this message every time I power it on.

"Switched to lineout successfully, please be careful of the volume. Press OK to continue."

Is there a way to prevent the message or is this a new bug?

Hi, greyparrot
1. Do you select output to lineout and choose one of the resume mode before turning off the X1II while playing music? Also there is a cable plugged in the output port when you turn on the X1, right? If yes, the message will raise in both FW1.2 and FW1.3.3.
2. This tip is designing to remind the users don't plug headphones inadvertently in line out mode.

omg this is so true, I thought it was the lack of gap-less playback that caused this... is it normal? Oh and yes it does happen to the same album..

I don't know if it is normal. I am waiting for fiio's reply. This is the first time I am disappointed with their product. I have not had any probs with their other products before. Even x1 v 1 does not have such annoying issues . I hope they fix it.

I hope in future players Fiio separates the screen timeout from the player locking. The other brands of players I own do that, and keep the player unlocked until the user presses the button sequence to lock them.  I use them unlocked though, as I don't have the problem of accidentally pressing any buttons while carrying them. They also turn on the display when any button is pressed. I hate the way Fiio players lock when the screen goes off. if Fiio doesn't want to make the default be that the player is unlocked, then they should at least have a choice in the settings menu for the player lock function to disable it.

I forgot that lineout was a default setting when I upgraded. I changed to headphone.

i just updated the F/W to v1.3.3 (from 1.2) and it seems that the resume time (from power on) has been improved.
But still no gapless playback.

For me this X1 II is just an extra player, as the X5 (first gen) is too big sometimes to carry around. So far I'm quite happy with the X1 II, but still room for improvement in terms of GUI/software speed and lack of gapless playback.

One other thing I noticed: when my phone (nexus 5) is near/next to it, it sometimes creates some static interference. This is the first time that I've had something like this, in a long time. Do more people have this?

I suppose you mean that the power button should continue to be the only button for unlocking but any button press should turn on the screen to show e.g. the Now Playing screen (to show what's happening?) FiiO?

Also if player locking is disabled but the screen is off, then pressing any button will turn on the display, and perform its normal function. Having to turn on the display to adjust the volume more than one step at a time is so annoying. fiio claims that did it for safety reasons. I could understand not having the volume increase by more than one step while the player is locked, but for safety reasons there should be a way to reduce the volume quickly even while the player is locked. Changing the track while holding down a volume button while the player is locked is annoying.

The maximum standby of just 8 minutes on the X1 with the latest firmware is so annoying. I disabled the auto off feature. Now I worry that I will forget to turn off the player though. Why couldn't they make the maximum standby time more reasonable, perhaps 30 minutes?
