FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

The entire front panel is made of tempered glass except for the four buttons around he wheel and the center button.

1.2 cm deep, line out, touch wheel and actual clicky buttons? nice! Was looking forward to T3 but I think this might suit my needs just as well. If the screen is visible in daylight I should upgrade my M3. :beerchug:

Would a Sony MW600 or similar work with the new X1?  How about the volume and play control functions?

It supports the playback controls from the headphone, but not the volume controls (because of the patent protection from Apple)

Update: Sorry I didn't notice that the MW600 is a Bluetooth headphone. This is depended on the design of the Bluetooth headphone itself. According to our tests that generally the Bluetooth headphone can only control its own volume, but not the volume of the X1II. And I think it's the same for the MW600.

Just to clarify, the MW6000 is Sony's bluetooth receiver that you can plug headphones into.  So the playback controls will work, but not volume?  Didn't realize Apple patents were so extensive...

I still have my 2nd generation Apple iPod 20 gig, my 60 gig classic and a FiiO X1.  I gave my older brother a 1st generation FiiO X3 and he has been very happy with it. So...

I will be giving my X1 to my son and buying an X1II when they are available.  I have a Bluetooth helmet and this should serve me well whether I am on my Sportster or Goldwing and for that matter, in either of my automobiles.

Apple?  I've got a Mac Mini and while I do like it, most of the time I use one of my three Windows laptops.  Apple is good.  Sometimes they can be great but I don't do "Beats" or their stupid music service.  FiiO will continue to receive my hard earned money  because they earn it with a quality product at a price point I (and many others) can afford.
