FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

I'm looking for a replacement battery for my X5ii but Fiio hasn't responded to my E-mail to support.
It's been a week :frowning2:
If my player is no longer under warranty I'll gladly pay for it as I can't afford upgrading.
I'm also aware they can send a replacement out since they've done this for another Head-fier.
Not sure why you are posting about your X5II battery in the X1II thread. With that said, FiiO will send you a battery, but there are customs issues and hazmat issues if I recall correctly which drive up the price (or so they say). I've not had to deal with any battery issues yet, but since they don't make it easy to get a replacement, it kind of forces you to buy another DAP.

Oops...bad day.
I can't afford another so if Fiio won't sell me one I'll have to find a replacement elsewhere

Right, I think I figured out what making my X1ii crash on idle. It's the resume function. When I turn it on, it crashes when it goes into idle mode. Turn it off and it works just fine. This happens on both 1.6.0 and 1.6.2.
Dear friend,

Thanks for the feedback. We will reproduce to our engineer and have more tests about that first. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards

@FiiO is there any word on a new firmware update? It's been a while since the last update and this device still needs attention.
Dear friend,
:worried: Sorry, no currently. We will release it once the new firmware comes.

Best regards

I have a feeling that the X1II is pretty much as good as it's going to get...I wish they could do something with it to fix some of the problems but it just doesn't seem like the X1II is a high priority for them.

I agree. They just helped me with my decision on whether to keep it or sell it. I use my N3 almost exclusively, so I know what I'll be replacing my X1II with.

Makes me question the wisdom in purchasing the X3iii now...I might be holding off for a bit.
I know you're a FiiO fan and I used to be of the older models...lol. My expectations are low for the X3III. They've got two Android based DAPs now and those will always take priority. I'll tell you to wait because it's best practice if you don't want to be a beta tester for something you bought. I also know about new toy syndrome too, so I won't try to talk you out of it either. I'm moving on at this point. Plenty of other DAPs out there.

Yeah the wise thing is probably to wait..back when they had the X1, X3II and X5II there seemed to be alot more firmware updates and they came faster than they they do now.

Having both the X1-II and N3 myself, I rarely use the X1-II anymore - it's been on a shelf for the last 2 months. I only use it when I travel for playing 24/7 to a bluetooth speaker in a hotel room on random repeat. The earlier firmware was actually better in my case, as the new firmware introduced problems whereas I had none before.

My expectations for the X3-III are very low too. It uses the same processor, OS, and "design" so I would expect the same lag and slowness that the X1-II experiences. It's never been a sound quality issue, so the different sound path of the X3-III is a moot issue for me nor do I care about the balanced output. However, if they fix the firmware for the X3-III to run smooth and then don't backport the fixes to the X1-II, I'll be really pissed.

I hate both Android and iOS products, so you won't see me going there ever. I don't stream audio and I don't care about the Bluetooth...if I didn't have the N3, I'd probably go to Sony (or stick with a Zune!).

I'm sure they're still busy fixing issues with the X5 and it's share of problems, but c'mon, take a week of dev time and resolve the issues on the X1-II! The excuses are getting old, even on a $99 player!
