1) Planar magnetic driver with a diameter of 90mm;
2) Micron-level diaphragm;
3) Lightweight aluminum film conductive coil (aluminum coating on the diaphragm).
4) Each planar driver has 22 high-performance strong magnetic magnets;
5) Magnesium alloy frame: light weight, high strength.

Hi Lee, thanks for the above specs.

Can you also confirm the overall approx. weight?

Also, will the FT5 use the same ear pads as the FT3 or have you revised the dimensions? I'm hoping the inner diameter is taller (at least 60mm).

Finally, will the FT5 include a shorter cable or will it be a 3m only one again?

Cheers!

Hi, the FT5 weighs about 431g (≈15.2 oz).
The earpads of the FT5 are not the same as the FT3's --- due to the needs of acoustic design and optimization for wearing --- and they can really affect the sound.
The original cable for the FT5 is about 1.5m.
Cheers!

That’s good, my BT7 drove them well single-ended at the show.

Will a balanced cable be included when they go on sale?
