Hi, I don't think you will get much value with connecting the external Pl50 power supply .
Also I found Fioo R7 consumes 0.7W ! On AC even with power switch button at the back OFF and 1.8W when on and idle..(screen on or off)..
For the PL50 you can always buy it later anyway...you can also plug your usb alarm clock to the fiio R7

I have been leaving it on 24/7, not sure whether it is great for the device, but I can't get by without it

The R7 is designed to work 365 days X 24 hours, not need to turn off the power. now most electronics equitment which power by AC are work similar.

No headphone connected, no speaker, just the unit powered on and you can here it.

There is no limitation about the screen resolution of the external display. And the display you mentioned could theoretically supported by the R7 as well.

I still advocate to turn off Electronic équipements when not in use after a while, no need to waste energy..

With the KB1 the keys are fixed (play/stop, next, previous, volume/mute) and also with the new (not available here in Germany) bluetooth remote RM3, I'll have only a few more keys.
Which remote control (the usb cable is not a problem for me) would you prefer?

Other question: Is DoP supported through SPDIF in?

Tested with a few power sockets in the house: Always the same. The noise goes away or get's quieter as soon as the R7 is playing something with headphones connected

Just one thing, I don't seem to be getting the clock screen saver after leaving the device idle for the stipulated time.
I would much appreciate it if somebody could give me an idiots guide to the settings for it.

Had my RM3 from Aliexpress today, just need my R7 to turn up from OTIC now, so I can use it, though I did try it on my M11 Plus
