Same story. Sold and forgotten. Now back to Audirvana 3.5 on Macbook Pro.

Thanks. BUT the link you give does not work.Dear friend,
The name of the control software is Fiio Cast, which has been released. The R7 needs to be updated to the latest firmware. You can refer to the tutorial in the link: http://fiio-firmware.oss-us-west-1.aliyuncs.com/Fiio_Cast/远程控% E5%88%B6App%E4%BD%BF%E7%94%A8%E6%96%B9%E6%B3%95_How%20to%20use%20Fiio%20Cast%20App.pdf

Dear friend,Hi @FiiO /Audiophils , I am using R7 as Streamer .
- Could you please let me know the best way to connect an external DAC? Since the R7 has 4 output options (USB-C, USB-A, Optical, Coaxial) and multiple modes, the goal is the best quality.
- Could you let me know if these outputs go through the internal DAC, or if it is a passthrough
My Current setup : Fiio R7 (Usb-c )-> Chord qutest-> Yamaha A8A-> RP-8000F II
Thanks
Srinath

Dear friend,Thanks. BUT the link you give does not work.
There is confusion about all this control software.
You talk about FiiO Cast but Google Playstore only shows FiiO Control.
I think I'll just get the rm3 remote!

My freinds from Fiio, I am shocked! Is there a way to bypass the internal DAC ? I have a Chord but is useless in this case ...Dear friend,
USB-C/USB-A/Optical/Coaxial inputs all pass through the DAC inside the R7. However, the maximum sampling rates they support are different. For detailed parameter descriptions, you can refer to the parameter table of R7: https://fiio.com/r7_parameters
Best regards
I think that there is a misunderstanding here.My freinds from Fiio, I am shocked! Is there a way to bypass the internal DAC ? I have a Chord but is useless in this case ...
Thanks for the response! Most of the time, I stream from Apple Music, and it works in all four output ports. However, I’m not sure whether pass-through or an internal DAC is involved.I went usbc out to my dac. Worked, but the driver created issues (see above) with control of the port and swapping streaming sources.
I hope you are right. @FiiO can you confirm ?I think that there is a misunderstanding here.
Of course you can bypass the internal DAC.
The only thing you have to do is to use the optical or coaxial outputs to your Chord DAC. The USB also works as a digital out. Just hook it to the Chord DAC, set the gain and volume to max and start streaming.
Yes I do this all the timeI hope you are right. @FiiO can you confirm ?
@FiiO Thanks for the response! . USB-C/USB-A/Optical/Coaxial considered outputs? I noticed that you referred to them as inputs in your response.Dear friend,

USB A, this is the host USB port to use to Chord.@FiiO Thanks for the response! . USB-C/USB-A/Optical/Coaxial considered outputs? I noticed that you referred to them as inputs in your response.
R7 usbc (output) - Chord Quest (input) .
Could you please provide information on the sampling rate of USB-C/USB-A output unable to find in the above link?
Additionally, Whats your opinion on these USB-C output is better than Optical output thread
COAX OUT: 384kHz/24bit; DSD128 (DOP)
OPT OUT: 192kHz/24bit
