thanks i went to check out and pay. they wanted pictures of my id card and pictures of my credit card as well as bank statements. is this normal ? they dont use pay pal either.

I've heard of this a few times but thankfully never experienced it myself yet. They do it to prevent ID and credit card theft and to check whether you are indeed the owner of the credit card. Nonetheless that is quite a lot of private and bank info they request - personally, I wouldn't provide that sensitive information, since who knows who will have access to it in the end. You could offer to provide photos where the sensitive data is blacked out/not visible. Otherwise I wouldn't risk data, ID and credit card information theft just to be able to get the product early. I'm sure new batches will arrive after the New Year holidays.

As far as I know, only very few items on AliExpress can be paid using PayPal.

Edit: Nevermind, I see you already got it from Amazon.

Never send pictures of your id card and signature.
This is way you could be a victim of identity fraud....

Still wondering why Fiio call this as a flagship device... Wonderful marketing term though.

Just out of curiosity, why it is called flagship device?
The price isn't flagship compares to the x7.
Which form me looks like the flagship device.
X7 is a player with built in DAC/amp. This is solely a DAC/amp, as in it needs to be connected to a device, which is why it is less expensive than the x7, but the components are not of a lower quality

Yeah it seemed really sketchy
Aliexpress is really good. They do take steps to protect from fraud and to protect your data. Actually more than some US companies due to data protection loosing power under the trump administration.

Still seems excessive. I was just trying to make a purchase not apply for a loan

Dear friend,

The similar reason as Devodonaldson mentioned, X7 is a player with built in DAC/amp while the Q5 would need to connect to a fore-end first. The Q5 is still belong to top level of the DAC products we have right now. So it is call a flagship device.

Best regards

Hi there,

Just wondering if this will work via USB from a Chromebook? (Pixelbook)

If yes, can I do USB from Pixelbook to Q5 then Bluetooth to headphones?

Thanks :)

Dear friend,

What's the system of the Chromebook you mentioned?

The Q5 only have lineout and headphone out as output. So it could not Bluetooth to headphones but only receive the Bluetooth signal from player.

Best regards

Got mine in the mail today and must say that I'm disappointed in the sound quality and power output. The setup that I'm comparing it to is e17k alpen 2 with mpow bluetooth receiver and dt 770 pro 80 ohm. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I've tried all the options.

You're only going to get so much out of Bluetooth. Limiting the data that can be sent to the Q5. Depending on the quality of the music file, doesn't matter how good the Q5 is, you can't run it to it's potential over Bluetooth

But that is what I'm saying, I am using a bluetooth receiver to the e17k and getting amazing sound quality and a ton of power. I just wanted to go to a single stack solution. Just wondering if any of the current q5 users ran into the same thing.

That is intwrintere. The 15TH with that amp module should have plenty power on tap, and the dual AK 4490s should sound arguably better than the e17k coming from the second source file. Will be looking to read any updated info
