FIIO Q15 DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread

Yes of course. But for sound quality alone I would choose coaxial.
No one really uses coaxial. I think optical would have been the better option imho
At the beginning of the design of the Q15, we also planned a Optical interface, but it is the kind of optical, coaxial common 3.5mm interface。

But Later , we found that we could not find a reliable connector that could meet our requirements during material selection.
So we had to eliminate the Optical connector.

In fact, as @Ichos said, the sound quality of the optical interface is not as good as the coaxial interface.
That's why we chose coaxial over Optical when we had a choice between the two.:beerchug:

What about parametric equalizer?
Q15 supports PEQ for USB input, coaxial input and Bluetooth input,
however, due to some issues, only Bluetooth PEQ is supported at the moment, and PEQ for USB and coaxial inputs, we are still in the process of research and development, and will be open soon.

Hi dear!
You did not understand me. On the contrary, I said that there is enough power. I only informed you that there is no mention of the amplifier part, what it consists of
OK,SORRY!
Q15‘s Amplifier part we use OPA1612*4 as LPF, and SGM8262 for AMP,
It's kind of a better setup for both listening and cooling :beerchug:

Not using THX like most of Fiios other products? Not necessarily a bad thing

@FiiO the global PEQ - will it also be supported in the Q7 - Considering it's an XMOS thing, sounds like you might be planning to also release to Q7? I hope soon - I've been holding off buying the Q7 over a year hoping for this.

For the Q15 - is it possible to adjust volume via bluetooth app? In case I have it under my TV driving my speakers, that would be useful to remote control it.

I took a general look at your link, his filter is something he did with a DSP based on his own algorithms, and it looks kinda interesting from the data he measured.
But I'm not sure where he is setting it, maybe between the headphone output to the headphones?

Actually the Q15 also has 7 preset EQ's in it, and 3 custom PEQ, plus 6 filters that are fully adjustable to your favorite music!

Yes,
Because Q15 is smaller in size, the design concept conflicts with the high heat and large size of THX module, so we don't use THX on top of Q15 anymore.

Q7, I'm not sure if we'll upgrade the global PEQ as upgrading is very complicated. It will face a lot of unforeseen problems

for your question,
Q15 - is it possible to adjust volume via bluetooth app?-------yes,you can adjust the volume via FiiO Control APP

Q15 143.5x71.75x21.75mm - no THX AAA
M11 Plus 136.6x75.7x17.6mm - YES THX AAA

:)
Also the much smaller btr7 has thx amps. I hope the amps in the q15 do it justice - they're not mentioned anywhere which unlike the dac, I'm guessing someone isn't too proud to market them enthusiastically

To be honest, I was really looking forward to Q15, I even published news on my channel, I was thinking about buying it but... but as soon as it came out, I was disappointed...

This feature is included in J.River Media Control for Windows and Poweramp in Android for example.
