I figured, would have been interesting if it could. but then I think a camera connection kit can do that? (digital audio stream btw)

Yes, if it is digital audio stream, then both our product and a camera connection kit could transfer the data

The reason I ask is because then you can use this to connect to a seperate dac. In theory anyway.
 
Do you mind testing with the E7 and E17 and see if it works?
