Can someone link my a Idiot Guide on how to Update my M9. As my player won't connect to wifi no matter what. I'm hoping a new os will fix that. I bought mine 2 months after it came out. So, it has the Factory OS vers in it. I don't stream so I only use it for playback. Sounds great. But, I'm still gonna get a M11 after the New Year. TIA

Hi all,

I am considering purchasing the Fiio M9 and was wondering what battery life is like when listening to 320kbps MP3 files, as well as offline Spotify in extreme quality ?.

Many thanks

Dear friend,

What's the firmware version of your M9 now? You could check from settings-general-about device-build number.
And did you try other wifi for updating?
If the ota update fails still, please try a local update instead:
Downlink of FW1.0.5: Click here.
How to upgrade the M9:
The M9 supports online upgrade. If a new firmware is available and detected (with the M9 connected to Internet), you will find update notification in the notification center. Then you can click on it to enter the update menu for online upgrading.
Also, the M9 can be upgraded locally using firmware package:
a) Download the firmware file from FiiO website then copy the firmware package file to the micro SD card;
b) Open "Technical Support" app on the M9, click "Firmware Update", and select the firmware package file to upgrade.

Best regards

My M9 doesn't recognize my wifi. Acts like it's not available. Though everything in my house recognizes my wifi. Even trying to ADD my Network does not work. How to turn it on?

I got my M9 to update to 1.0.5 But it still won't recognize my wifi.
Signal strength. The M9 has super weak Wi-Fi antennas. You literally need to be in the same room as the router. Also, the M9 doesn’t support 5ghz Wi-Fi so if your Wi-Fi is currently running on the 5ghz band, you’ll have to change it to 2.4ghz for the M9 to work.

I've tried and listen a few hours to both the M9 and M11.
The intention was to go for the M9, great looks, feels better, not heavy etc.
After a few songs I was convinced, it had to be the M11. twice the price but so much better sound quality.
Tried on a few over ears and iem's.
But, the M9 is way mobile and handier than the M11.
