Something some may be interested in. Detectit mentioned that the whitelisted ES File Explorer ran Google. It can be set up as a favourite. If Youtube is started from Google it works really better than can be expected. Sounds excellent using my Bqeyz KB100's and T2's. Even the little videos look good. This is the machine that keeps on giving. It almost does everything. When they get Airplay and Casting on board this will be the absolute best. Probably it still is the best.

@FiiO @FiiO USA So I just got mine today and while I haven't utilized it yet (I literally just opened it), I am wondering if there are any plans to have a screen protector made available for purchase. I was very surprised to not see one in the package. I do know that previous models (the X1 from my experience since I own one) had them, it would be really nice to have one made for the future. I feel like I have to be 'extremely' careful with this as a result. Even if an accessory case with a flip cover, similar to the ones that were available for the legacy Ipods, would be a nice alternative as well.

If anyone happens to know of a work around I'm all ears.

update: also, if additional apps plan on being whitelisted in the future, would it be possible to perhaps incorporate a feature that allows you to install these apps via wifi?

I noticed that the Bandcamp apk link on your webpage does not contain a file when I click on it. Would you fix that please? Would @Brooko or anyone here happen to contain that apk file?

Only if Fiio whitelist the app. They seem to want to protect the Fiio app so don't expect them to whitelist Poweramp.

Kinda. Depends what you mean. If you are meaning they want to protect the sanctity of their device and only want their FiiO Music app to be #1 than that is a negatory.

If you mean by trying to guarantee audio quality due to lack of resources (processor/ram/display and priorities) wise than yes.

I just searched on line for the latest Bandcamp app and used that. One such example : https://apk-dl.com/bandcamp/com.bandcamp.android

The M9 comes with a pre-applied tempered glass screen protector out of the box on the screen. Currently, there is only an optional red leather case u can purchase.

The Soc, Exynos has limited resource and some APP need large RAM and will suck in M9. that is only reason .

Dear friend,

The screen protector has already been applied in the M9 before factory out.
If you need extra screen protector, you could send email to support@fiio.com about that.

Best regards

@FiiO
Any chance of whitelisting Amazon prime music app?
in the future for the m9

regards
We have recorded the APP you reported.

The engineer will check the feasibility of adding it to the white list first.

Best regards

Spoke too soon... it seems that a large Qobuz library affects the ability to download. If I search for something am able to download, but if I scroll through my faves in Qobuz (about 1000 albums) I am losing the ability to download offline.

@FiiO This appears to be a bug somewhere along the way... Am running APK 5.1.2 Qobuz
Dear friend,

You could try the version in our website instead first: click here

Hi JamesFiiO
As I like to play my music through my HiFi sometimes, that is not so simple through WiFi on the M9. Through Bluetooth it is simple, but not through WiFi. Could you whitelist a Music Playing app that can cast audio through WiFi and that is not overly demanding on the Exynos resourses. There are many, such as the "Hi-Fi cast" app, and I'm sure some are reasonable in their processor demands. You could even build it into your FiiO music app as Samsung did with their native music app. I'm sure many would like to play their own music libraries through HiFi systems using WiFi and not Bluetooth. At the moment I have to use my mobile phone to do this. I love my little FiiO and would really rather do it from the M9. Please James, can you find a practical way to play music to HiFi's using WiFi?
Thank you kindly
Steve
