Hello fiio. I facing issue lag about 1 second in Fiio M3 Pro when moving track from 96 KHZ 24 Bit HR to 44 KHZ 16 bit SQ using DAP. Currently im on firmware 1.1.0.

Can fiio team fix it on next firmware update?
Dear friend,

Did you try to do a factory restore and use another sd card? Does the issue still remain? And does the issue happen in certain music files?

Best regards

I have factory reset and still same. But have not try use another sd card. I am using class 10 sd card. My friend facing this issues also.
This issue appear only when move from higher khz than 44.1 (example: 24 bit HR) to 44.1 khz (non HR 16 bit SQ).

Hello!

Can somebody report on how this thing performs as a digital transport? Are there any differences in sound/audio related performance compared to a smartphone in this use case? I have found out that active background processes (running apps and system services) on my phone have an impact (subjectively negative, i.e. "darker" sound, lesser perceived channel separation) on sound when I'm using it as a transport with BTR5 in both wired (via UAPP, Neutron MP) and wireless modes, even with 16/44,1 files without any additional resampling and DSP. Same goes for my PC. This leads me to believe that processing power available matters in handling of audio files/digital signal. With this point in mind, I'm concerned about M3 Pro's apparent hardware limitations.
I need a dedicated mobile digital transport device, but my budget is very limited, so the only viable options for me are budget low-performance DAPs like this one or the ShanLing Q1, or a budget smartphone like, say, Redmi Note 8 Pro. I'd like to go with the latter to be sure, but in my current financial situation I'll have to save up for it for a few months at least.

Sadly, this issue seems to be pretty obscure to say the least, and it's very hard to find any information on this topic.

Dear FiiO, will there be any more firmware updates for the M3 Pro?

If you are waiting for an equalizer that you can adjust yourself. NO.
We'd rather see a dinosaur walking around than Fiio doing it with another firmware.

Yes, the tech team are still working in it. If you would like to try to test the beta firmware, you could send email to support@fiio.com about that.

Best regards

Fiio for god's sake make a custom equaliser this is a damn 80 dollar player is it too much we are asking?
I think we should go all-together to the rockbox forums and ask for a port!!
I already had all versions of Rockbox on my Fiio M3K. The original FW 1.3 has the best audio quality. Rockbox sounds thin and without force on M3K.

So: why should a Rockbox be better on the M3 PRO?
That damn equalizer is coming, Fiio knows and we know. Even if we had to conquer China because of that!:deadhorse::alien::alien:
