What do you mean ? Android does not have bit-perfect audio in any versions, not even 14 (only USB audio).
Chi-fi brands like Fiio have always implemented their own Android resampling bypass. In other words this player has bit-perfect audio, no matter which Android version it is using.
Yes I have the R6 Pro II. Well, let’s see how it looks on paper.
R6P2
*******
- R6P2 has 2x AK4499EX DACs. M23 has 1
- Dedicated LO ports (if that matters)
- Superior Software
M23
*****
- Desktop Mode (For most people this is not needed. A DAP is meant to be used as a portable device, not plugged into power all the time)
- Has more power for those power hungry headphones
- Fast charging (faster than the R6P2)
Common
************
- Same CPU
- Same RAM
- R6P2 has Android 12. M23 will initially ship with Android 10 and upgraded later to 12
- Both has Class A amps
- Same battery life (slightly higher on M23 but not so much to list it as an advantage)
- Same price ( R6P2 might be available slightly cheaper )
We don’t know the full specifications of M23 yet. However from what we know so far on paper, I would go for the R6P2, mainly due to the dual AK4499EX. In the end, to each their own.
Given that, I’m curious to try out this DAP. I haven’t had a Fiio DAP for a long time now and I’m curious to see what they have been cooking under the hood.

Android 14 has bit perfect capability, but only via USB. In other words, by connecting your Android device to a USB DAC you will have bit perfect with Android 14.

No, it doesn't support with USB for all apps. It works only with apps supporting USB Exclusive mode and for this Android 14 is not required, many older versions support bit perfect on USB Exclusive mode. For example UAPP and Neutron player. However, streaming apps like Apple music doesn't support bit perfect on Android 14 even with usb mode.

You left out a small but important detail. The R6 Pro II has 2x AK4499EX DACs. The design here results in it having an Octa-DAC like setup for all outputs, even for single ended.
