On another note, I personally dislike the default blue/pink image appearing for album art that has not yet been loaded.
- You could change the default display cover from the theme option from setting of the FiiO music app. The music file without album art will all show this cover you set instead.

I was thinking of using a better power supply for the M17 and wondered if an iFi iPower 12v/1.8A would be a good match? I don't know how much amperage matters (vs voltage) and I see that the stock power supply is 3.0A.

It matters. You shouldn't go below 3A.

So finally got the M17 with the power elite 12v. Quick question, is it ok to keep the power elite plugged in for long period of time? I have put the max battery to 90%.

Yes, it is safe and remember set the DC/BAT switcher to DC
