Someone has reported on fiio-philes Facebook page that the volume is lower after updating their M11 plus

That report was specifically for M11plus software update, but not for FiiO Music player update.

Hello, I was wondering whether it is possible to access and steer Qobuz and Apple Music from the smartphone with the Fiio app: I have connected my smart phone with the M 17 but I am just using qobuz and Apple Music and no internal music. Any ideas?

The earlier recommendation here was using Neutron player DLNA service on M17, playing Qobuz started in BubbleUpnp on android phone.
Small problem: no bubbleupnp for iPhone, no Apple music integrated in bubbleupnp (as far as I see).

You can use bubble upnp on M17 and Neutron on M17 at the same time or use mconnect on IOS (for Qobuz/tidal/upnpservers) and output these to M17 (set as dlna renderer with Bubble Upnp or neutron)..
I have no idea with apple music.

Oh thanks - The problem is that I don’t understand a word of what you are saying - it’s like a foreign language to me. What is bubble upnp? I just looked in my iPhone App Store - I found the app mconnect player and mconnect control. Which is it? And why don’t they make their players more easy to use after so many years? I am a psychologist who loves music and not a technical engineer or a software engineer!
But thanks for the help I appreciate it - it’s not your fault it’s so complicated!

Changes and improvements about new Android APP are as follows :
1. Added a new theme: Technology (can be enabled in Settings -> Theme -> Custom background);
2. Upgraded the BT device control center to a brand new one(now called FiiO Control);
3. Added sorting by year;
4. Added support for DLNA-Emby service in Media Server(Emby/UPNP/SMB protocols are now supported);
5. Added Now Playing list in the Media Server playback menu;
6. Added new options: Max Volume Lock and Allow background Activity (can be set in Settings -> USB output);
7. Fixed the issue where the volume control would not work for some tracks in D2P output mode;
8. Fixed the issue where the DSD tracks might not be played properly (only white noise can be heard) while the Exclusive USB audio access mode is turned off;

How to update the FiiO Music app in players:
Set the device to storage mode and connect to computer, drag the downloaded FiiO Music (.apk) to the device. Then disconnect the connection and enter ES file explorer/file manager, find the FiiO Music app in internal storage/sd card and click install.

Is the M17 a 5.5/2.1 or a 5.5/2.5 DC plug? Would you recommend 12v or 15v LPS? Looking at Farad Super 3 Power supply. Coloured fuses Rhodium Plug? Is this power supply OTT?
Was also hoping it's the same as my Mscaler to try it with that.

New owner of M17 here and I’m puzzled trying to figure out how to enable double-tap to wake screen!
