Any sign of Android 11 or 12 coming along?

Android update .Forget about it.
Nobody has any interest in this.
You have to buy a new model.

I haven't heard of any DAP having updated Android, certainly not in FIIO.
There will soon be a new DAP M23 with what Android version.(Android 14 is already available in 2023).

In a moment there will be voices saying that it doesn't matter in DAP, for DAP there is no,
but it is for applications that you want to install in DAP.
Because the applications will not support old versions of Android.
Example: first version of FIIO M15 (great sound), old version of Android 7 - this is currently the minimum for Tidal and will soon die due to the system.

Can you guys plug/use 2 different IEMs or cans on the M15s outputs? I heard it's possible to do thay with the M17.

Hiby did update the original R6 from Android 6 or 7, to Android 8.1, so it can be done, but is there a will to do it?

The reasons for wanting the most recent Android version is better power and battery management, up to date security patches and longer support for 3rd party apps.

The M15S uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. The project supplier provided Android 9 and Android 10 for us based in Snapdragon 660 platform. And we have chosen the latest Android version provided by the supplier for M15S.

Yes. Or if not possible then the lockscreen with volume on top.
And for both, volume knob and buttons.

Another suggestion if i may @FiiO

I have both m17 and m15s, it would be great to add a 'DC in' active status icon on the status bar row where the batt level etc are located.. So when the DC mode is on, we can directly know it from the status bar. And when its not, we can also know it easily. This should be especially useful for m15s when using powerbank..

Roon ready mode disappeared after the update.

You are right, I have not seen it because I start FiiO Roon using the App Symbol on my homescreen.
