I went from a FiiO X7 Mark II to a FiiO M11S and I missed the sub-bass I had on the X7 MKII. As they say that the mid-bass are more advanced in the M11S and in the M11 Plus there is more extension, depth in the bass, I wanted to know if I would have that back in the M11 Plus when using the Final Audio E5000. Do you notice the bass with extension and a good presence in the sub-bass in the E5000 with the M11 Plus?

qui frankly I have no idea when bass end and sub bass starts. Probably my age and ears. All I know is that the E5000 on M11 has more than enough bass and that the balanced gives more space and airiness compared with the (in my opinion already very good) stock cable. Hope this helps. The best Final imho still is the good old Heaven VI

The latest update on m11plus ltd has improved all outputs by a good margin. Prior to the update I was using only LO as PO & spdif sounded meh. Thanks @FiiO

Is there a way to choose which music player starts up when you are have in vehicle mode enabled. Right now FIIO music play starts up when the FIIO Play starts when the vehicle turns on and I can't find anywhere that this can eith be changed or disabled.

Is there a comprehensive tutorial on how to setup the M11 Plus Roon? I am having trouble getting this to work and am on the trial from Roon. If I can't get things going then going to have to cancel in 13 days.

I had some trouble getting this to work, but it actually works really well now. You have to get the Fiio Roon app, in addition to the actual Roon app. Then, I would recommend closing all your apps, and opening the Fiio Roon app. The app doesn't actually do anything other then let the Fiio become discoverable by your Roon network. After you've done that, minimize the app and open the Roon app and your Fiio should show up as a Roon endpoint.
One question is whether you have a Roon server or ROCK set up, or if your Roon core is only local and on your PC? Essentially, your Roon needs to be networked into your wifi router for the Fiio to work as a Roon endpoint (I think). Otherwise, you could use the Roon Arc app on the Fiio. However, if your Roon core is just your desktop PC, if it's turned off you won't be able to access the Roon core using Roon Arc either. FYI - I'm about 85% confident in my explanation/instructions.
I think you can ask a question here. Maybe the answer is already there, who knows?

What firmware is that ?
How does it change the sound of all the outputs ?
I update mine a couple of weeks ago, no sound change jumped out at me and I frequently use the 3.5mm and 4.4mm PO, the 4.4mm LO and the coaxial out.
What am I missing ?

You need to have a pc running Roons core software before anything else you can’t just run it on the Fiio its only an endpoint or controller.
If you have setup the core then ensure Fiio is on latest firmware. If you want local control on the M11 then download Roon Remote App from the play store.
Run the remote app first and ensure it finds and connects to your Roon core. After this go to settings/Audio and disable the first device you see it will be labelled as this phone. This is not the Fiio Roon Ready feature this is the non bit perfect output of the app.
Start the Fiio Roon app and minimise this will start up the Roon Ready feature on the M11 and enable full bit perfect audio.
Switch back to the Roon remote app scroll down in the Audio setiinfs until you see the M11 it should appear under Roon Ready section. Enable it.
To play to it select the Fiio zone from the zone picker and choose what you want to play to it.
I don’t use the remote app on the device I use it on my phone just prefer it that way.

Thanks, figured all of that out. Now to see if Roon acknowledges the problem I reported with ARC.
OK, that is the same one my M11 Plus LTD is on.
How does the sound change ?
What am I not hearing if you hear a "good margin" of sound improvement ?
I just did the update because it was there.
I had no complaints about the sound before and while I didn't listen for any change afterward I was not aware of anything different.
