I’m still loving the M11 Plus LTD and FD7 combo, but a new M15 may sway me to upgrade…

a new M9 would be much more interesting for me.
The Space between M11+ and M17 seems a little tight on the sq side, on the size side of things, while it would offer 3 shades of Brick.
On the small size front, there is only the shanking m3x, which has no Android 10 and no Option for global EQ like Poweramp-EQ. Hiby is out of question after some bad experiences with their official reseller and there support.
The Operationspeed of the old M9 and the lack of Apple Music are my dealbreakers of what was a pretty nice entry-level, every time in my pocket player.

If FiiO keeps improving the M17, it is going to end up being something that replaces a lot of larger home systems. It was a bit much for me to spend on so I got the M11 Plus LTD, but if the M17 gets more refined and improved upon I could see many ditching non-home-theater systems for this product.

Did FiiO remove the ability to change the settings of their Bluetooth adapters? I can no longer find my BTR3K in the FiiO Music app like before. Seems like a pretty serious oversight to remove something that was integrated....now I can't adjust my settings.

Can't even downgrade the app which is just messed up.

Do you mean the FiiO Control option in FiiO Music app? No, we did not remove it.

If the BTR3K could not be found in the FiiO Control page, please try to clear the pairing and reconnect. If the issue still remains, please try to add the product manually.

I got a similar problem with BTA30. I solved it by downloading Fiio control via playstore and using that instead of Fiio music control…

I don't see that much problem with apps like fiio control. I don't like these one app fits all approaches as they usually lead to blown up apps. These big apps are prone for funny behavior while they get to big to be easily maintained and then become old and buggy.
I don' t need a fiio control in pure music mode, as I don' t need fiio equalizer (a global eq, like hibys or A&K with an off-switch for bit-perfect would be my preference) also functions like fiio link should be separated.
If I want pure, bit perfect music, I can switch to pure music (while the app can hold links to the other apps to start/let them work in pure music), but when I start to use Apple Music or Quoboz, the android machine is at full steam in the background, with all its effects on the device.

LDAC support but since I don't know how Apple music works I don't know how it will affect the sound.

The USB/Bluetooth output of M11 Plus is theoretically better than the iPhone. But due to individual preferences, you try out by yourself first.

I don't use bluetooth, I use iphone 13 Pro Max with apple camera adapter usb to the K9 Pro.
