M11 Plus Unboxing video from Porta-Fi
Initial impressions are that while the M11 Plus LTD retains the signature of M11 PRO, it does seem to be a more refined and cleaner variant. Do note that this is just an initial impression. We are currently burning in the unit before the review proper. Hope this helps.
Story behind-FiiO M11Plus LTD(Interview with Structural Engineer)
Dear friend,What’s the output for 300 ohm headphone? I’m curious as I have a lot 300 ohm headphones I’d like to use.
Headphone out specifications 1(3.5mm port, A-wt.)
Output power 1 | ≥295mW(16Ω / THD+N<1%) | Output impedance | ≤1Ω |
Output power 2 | ≥206mW(32Ω /THD+N<1%) | THD+N | <0.0006%(1kHz/32Ω) |
Output power 3 | ≥23mW(300Ω / THD+N<1%) | Separation | ≥76dB(1kHz/32Ω) |
Noise floor | <2μV | SNR | ≥120dB |
Balanced out specifications 2(2.5mm+4.4mm balanced output, A-wt.)
Output power 1 | ≥500mW(16Ω / THD+N<1%) | Output impedance | ≤2Ω |
Output power 2 | ≥588mW(4.3V)(32Ω /THD+N<1%) | THD+N | <0.00146%(1kHz/32Ω) |
Output power 3 | ≥88mW(300Ω /THD+N<1%) | Separation | ≥111dB(1kHz/32Ω) |
Noise floor | <3μV | SNR | ≥120.5dB |

More output power, better battery life, a Volume wheel, more outputs. However it all comes at the cost of size.It may be too early to tell, but does anyone have any thoughts on why one might want the M17 over the M11 Plus? I’m not really sure what the main differences are.
So if I were only going to be using Andromedas and Focal Stellia, which one do you think would be the better choice?More output power, better battery life, a Volume wheel, more outputs. However it all comes at the cost of size.
The M11 Plus would be more than enough for the Stellia’s and you’d probably save a lot of money too. I’ve been thinking about getting the M11 Plus but I know it wouldn’t be enough to drive my ZMFs comfortably. So if I were only going to be using Andromedas and Focal Stellia, which one do you think would be the better choice?
Also if you plan on taking it out, you have to consider the bulkiness of both, the M11 Plus is like a chonk of a phone wheres as the M17 will be like a mega chonker of a phone, it’ll be quite cumbersome to carry the m17 opposed to the m11.So if I were only going to be using Andromedas and Focal Stellia, which one do you think would be the better choice?
So the M15 is a weird Place where it’s better than the M11 Plus but not as powerful as the M17, but the M15 is probably the best spec’d device for the Average audiophile. It’s got really good Audio Specs wise, it has the best (imo) DAC chips dual Akm4499, does 280mw at 300ohm (which is enough for my ZMFs to run comfortably) but the Android Hardware - specifically the SoC is quite old and feels like what a 5 year old Chipset would feel like (still no where near as slow as some other DAPs). However I think that if you were looking for a DAPThat does Tidal at its best, Spotify if that’s what you prefer, or your own library of music, I’d recommend the M15 but the only reason I don’t like the M15 is the fact that it doesn’t do Apple Music. If you’d want to go the M15 route I have my M15 listed if you are interested, it’s only 3 months old but still a great unit as long as you don’t care for Apple Music.Good advice. Okay, so now the question is, how does the M15 stack up as an option to both of those?
I use the Stellia with the M11 Pro and it sounds great. DAC and Amp in the Plus is the same and I've ordered it for use with the Stellia to replace my Pro.So if I were only going to be using Andromedas and Focal Stellia, which one do you think would be the better choice?
