My problem was more a random static sound than a clicking sound, so it may not be the same problem, but it's close enough that it's worth mentioning, and it's easy to check. Either make sure there are no nearby cell phones, or they are in "Airplane Mode." In normal operating mode, cell phones have no adverse effect on dongle DAC/Amps sound, but occasionally when they switch towers, communicate with towers for maintenance, or search for towers in weak zones, a cell phone broadcasts at higher power and different frequencies that can cause interference with audio devices. Further, the better-sounding cables use better materials that make better "antennas" and are often less shielded, resulting in picking up static you can hear. Also, some DAC/Amps devices are better shielded than others. For example, FiiOs are better shielded than Earmen, in my experience. Again, it was very intermittent and infrequent since normal operations of the cell phone did not cause it, so it was very hard to track down, and I thought for sure it was a defective device, cable, or connector. I had a similar problem with a Verizon cell phone booster on my desk that was affecting my Focal Active Near-Fields Monitors. Good luck!No updates, did not change any settings. I also checked on the Samsung s22 and Samsung S21 Plus, iPhone 14pro the same result. I think it's the device's defect.
