Anyone else owe their Fiio PL50 unit damaged out of nowhere?
I saw reports in other groups that the PL50 stopped working out of nowhere, I wanted to know what the real problem was and its solution, I'm thinking about getting another unit soon for my K7.

The fuse may be damaged. You can purchase a replacement fuse by yourself. The specification of the fuse is @T 250V 1A H 5.2x20mm.

@FiiO and others, I am very pleased with the Fiio K7 on all levels (aesthetics, sound and synergy with my headphones), but I keep having a small problem with Tidal (only happens with this program). When a high resolution song ends (yellow led) and a CD quality song starts next (cyan) there is a jump of several seconds (10 or so). This does not happen if I select the song, it only happens when a high resolution song ends and a standard resolution song starts.

Can anyone check if this is a common problem with Tidal? With other dacs I have it doesn't happen.

When I'm listening to a mix of songs of different resolutions, then I switch from exclusive mode to shared mode to avoid this problem (also the LED doesn't change since the resolution is controlled by Windows). It's not a big problem, but I'd rather not have it.

Besides TIDAL, do you use other music software? You can try other music software. You can download the Fiio Music App on your mobile phone or player, import the songs to the App to play, and connect the mobile phone or player to the K7 to see if this situation still occurs. Thanks!

K7 works with MAC computers and does not require driver installation. For use with Windows computers, drivers need to be installed. However, we have not tested installing a Windows virtual machine on a MAC computer.

E70 is very good, but in my personal taste I prefer the sound of the k7 which in my opinion has a more fun and real sound, but try the E70 and see for yourself, people's tastes and different ears make all the difference.
The simplicity of the k7 taking up less space on the table is a plus.

In fact i bought the E70 on black friday on Aliexpress but the seller got out of stock and i got refunded.

I'm thinking of changing the K7 because i no longer use the amp section, only the dac one.

No. The RCA connections of the K7 are single-ended, not balanced. Stick to the 3.5mm.

USB or digital (coax or TOSLINK), perhaps? …if you don’t mind that you’d be using the DAC in the K7 instead of the M11S to do the digital-to-analog conversion.

If you were set on using the M11S’ DAC with the K7 amps, your only option between the two is single-ended, because the K7 does not have balanced analog inputs.
