Can someone compare to Sony EX800ST ?

I have in my review. EX800ST is badly tuned so it needs EQ but even with EQ, it is nowhere near the FD5.

This is using PEQ:

Low-shelf: 200hz, Q: 0.65, gain: 3.0db

Low-shelf: 120hz, Q: 1, gain: 4.5db

peak eq: 550hz, Q: 1.5, gain: -2.0db

peak eq: 3800hz, Q: 2.3, gain: 5.0db

peak eq: 5500hz, Q: 3.0, gain: -3.0db

high-shelf: 10 500hz, Q: 1.1, gain: 8.0db

Preamp: -8.0db

BTW today I plugged my FD5 into my Topping DX7s instead of my LG V30 with internal ESS DAC...what can I say, it scales insanely well! A lot more airy and dynamics increased to a point, where it becomes more musical instead of dry analytical.

I havent tried it. But the quality of the driver in the FD5 is better so I doubt it could rival it.

yeah in terms of sq and technicalities.

Although my personal taste leans towards the N3 more than the FD5. But I enjoy both a lot.
