Hello @FiiO ! LHDC is not working for me. Phone "One plus 9RT" The phone has LHDC, but the connection is only APTX Adaptive. Help solve this problem. The rest of the FW5 is very good.

We got similiar feedback about LHDC connection for UTWS5 from other users using One plus mobile phone.We will try to contact One plus to see whether we could improve about that together. You could try to check via another mobile phone as well. For example, in Xiaomi mobile phone the LHDC connection could work fine:

I fixed the loudness already Now I just want the volume control on the earbuds themselves, and I would be fine.

I strongly believe that either your unit is defective or your phone‘s BT has some problem. Mine has more stable connection than the BTR5 2019. I can go around my apartment freely. If it is not the phone, then you definitely need to check with Fiio to follow up.

The long press for pre and next tracks work just fine. However, short press for volume adjustment does not work with any device (iPhone XR, MacBook, Shanling M6 Ultra).

Another issue is that My Xiaomi Mi A1 (running LineageOS) refuses to pair with FW5, showing that the “passcode” is incorrect. I ensured that the FW5 stayed in pairing mode (rapidly blinking light). Since I use other devices, I’m more bothered by the volume buttons not working more than this pairing issue.

I have zero volume control using the buttons on the buds. The volume does not change at all with the button.

Sorry, I thought you fixed that and like many with FiiO devices would like the volume to work the way it does on other earbuds (FiiO told me before the reason they do not do this) but the choice in the App would be nice.

I reset mine again in the App and by then again via the buttons, re-paired and still crap range on any devices, the only thing these buds have going for them is SQ, the rest (BT range/battery/cheap case with no way to check buds' charge level/lacking App features for TWS) are meh IMO.

I hope that it will work out, it was very important for me when choosing FW5. A lot of people have one plus, I hope together you will solve this.

I manage to change the volume on the buds now. The buttons are quite unintuitive. I have to press the buttons with the dot firmly and hold a little bit (but not too long otherwise the song skip feature would be selected instead) to change only one volume step. If the music gets loud suddenly, I cannot reduce the volume fast enough.

IMO on this set up it should be HOLD to lower Volume, in auto steps with little beeps, you let go when you reach the level you want, they could then make Skipping Tracks RW/FW a Triple Press or just let us change all the buttons around in the App.

@FiiO you need to change the phrasing during the update process, the part when the app tell users to stay in the app and wait. Instead of using the "stay", the app says please "leave in". I almost quit the update app because I thought the app tells me to leave.

The volume control is still hard to press and slow to change like the previous version.

Yes, I have had both, the MTW3 was great sounding but had launch bugs (may be fixed now) and they are too small for me.

The FW5 also can sound great but other times (possibly suites certain genre more than others) be not so good.

It is hard to say since I do not have both here now, but the MTW would have been keepers for me otherwise
