Any tentative date for availability?
I was about to order R7 through Amazon as it is the only way for me to get the unit, but will definitely have to wait. Santa will be late this year
@FiiO, Did you guys fix the issue with the optical pass trough? and volume adjustment on the device?
Example. Plugging the TV optical cable in and then passing the signal to, let's say, a Dolby digital system?
It appeared already in the last socal canjam. Ironically, Some people there liked the K9 Pro ESS more than the R9 sound-wise (that doesnt mean the R9 is bad).
But let's hope they added some new tweaks since that showroom iteration. Oh and the Socal canjam showroom didn't have a Linear Power Supply attached (in case you feel it matters).

Hi, optical is a digital output, the volume adjustment on the device is for the DAC and cannot take effect on the optical output.
You can adjust the volume through the optical decoder.
