Yes exactly that white piece. Actually I had my CP13 replaced once by my Indian retailer for auto stop issues. The replacement unit worked pretty good for last 4/5 months but has again started faltering in auto stop - not in all cassettes but randomly. Actually, these mechanisms are not that perfect.

Hoping that Fiio will work on the next model to make it a fool proof full auto stop mechanism.
Aside from the autostop random issue, do you find that these cassette decks are fairly well built overall? Also how good do they sound?
The only cassette decks that I own are an old Nakamichi ZX7 and Sony Prowalkman WMD-6C.

Exactly, the auto stop problem does not occur in all cassettes. It depends on the position of the plastic part.

This is a mass market mechanism which has reportedly been tweaked by Fiio (heavy fly wheel etc) for maximising its performance. So it is a generic mechanism overall, I think.

Regarding sound quality its okayish for me looking into the cassettes I listen to (old Bollywood songs of 70s and 80s when normally premium recording was not a point of consideration in Indian films). Opinions vary. Many are satisfied, some are not. Going through this thread should answer many of your queries.

I have sony wm fx10 walkman. It has more bass and treble compared to cp13. Therefore, it gives a more dynamic sound. cp13 has a more balanced and analog sound. I prefer the cp13 sound (with ddhifi janus 3 iem)

Our CP15, will use the same AMP chip on the RR11, except that the CP15 will work in high performance mode, but the overall sound tone is basically the same as analog BASS

If you guys are looking forward to the sound of the CP15, you can try to buy the RR11 radio, which is really a great product too! :L3000: :L3000: :L3000:

CP15 is still doing testing and correction of the movement, this process is quite long, it is expected to be ready in June

I estimate that the end of this year is likely to be on the market

CP15 main features:
1, ultra-thin volume
2, brushless motor
3, customized head
4, unique HiFi circuit design

I believe that it will be very much awaited! :beerchug:
I currently have a red CP13 and I'm enjoying it. It's not perfect, but I like it. As far as the CP15 is concerned, I don't need a lot. Play, Stop, Fast Forward and Rewind are all I really need. As long as the cassette player is impeccably tuned, the speed and azimuth are tight and adjusted correctly right out of the box and the playback is stable even when the player itself is in motion would be great. I suppose auto-reverse might be good and a case with a belt clip would be welcome too. But that's it for me.

Will it have a line-out option for external amplifiers?

Got a teardown video posted in a Reddit thread.
The link is here.
Its good to see the internals as well as to get an idea about how to disassemble etc.
Hopefully, no rules are violated in posting the link.
Yes, this is the video we did at the time to make it easier for people to do their own repairs. :beerchug:

I don't discuss in that site(i mean reddit) anymore though, the admins keep banning me.
