Interesting, do you guys have any plans for portable CD players? That is as "retro" I'm willing to go back, heck I'm still using two Sony CD walkman.

I was still using a Sony cassette walkman in 2006/7 until it crapped out, as nostalgic as cassettes are they don't last long.
Please wait~~
Good things always come later~~

Seems there are still in production some of them.
Not sure how good they are.
Like - NTE1833 - Dolby B-Type Noise Reduction System IC.
Just google for them - still available on a lot of components providers.
I'll confirm to see if it's still in mass production and his detailed specs

Thank you very much, and feel free to keep recommending any better ones!

Sony CXA1551M, CXA1552M-P, CXA1553M-P ??? No idea if they are in still production !!!
Also, it looks like Dolby-B & C can be emulated in DSP: would require a DSP with ADC (relatively common) with the great benefit of enabling a USB-C digital-out option to “rip” your old cassettes… :beerchug:

“Dolby” disabled = pure analog
“Dolby” enabled = analog > digital > analog + USB-C digital out

I don't think we need a pencil for this one,
you can operate it with the push of a button,

and so far the tests he's been doing have been very stable, and it doesn't wrap the tape around the film.
what OPAS are being used? and what mechanism for the tape playback? thank you!

I have two portables an Aiwa HS-PC202.

And a very rare one - a Sony WM-WE01 20th Anniversary. Both sound very good with the new ZMF Bokeh :) will be fun to see what FiiO cooks up!

We do not want to use ADC.
It's not the real analogy Music

As many of you know we are going to make cassette player, we are now trying our best to work out the production issues. We plan to release our CP13 before Feb, 2024. Considering that some people don't have tapes, we'll be giving away a copyrighted, original tape in countries that are allowed to give away tapes at sales events! Any idea about what you need for a cassette player, pls feel free to let us know. Let's revel in the timeless tunes, experience the soulful melodies.

Would prefer it to be powered by x2 AA batteries.
And a mechanism with quality good parts in it.
Assembled with screws so the rubber bands can be changed.
Or make it easy to change the battery, which isn't hard to do.
