Hello everyone on the forum. A few years ago, I bought the Fiio Fh5 headphones, and they've been working great until now. The left earpiece suddenly lost sound, and I initially thought it might be the cable. Without further testing, I bought a new cable, but the left earpiece still didn't work, producing very faint sound when turned up to the maximum volume. Then, I switched their positions on the old cable and confirmed that the issue isn't with the cable but with the left earpiece. I was using an LG V60 as the source. I also tried them with a Dragonfly Black DAC, but the left earpiece still didn't work. Is there any possibility of fixing, or should I consider throwing them away and moving on?

They are likely finished. 🥲

Thanks for the quick response. Does it make sense to buy the FiiO JD7 as a replacement? I only found them at a price of $100.
Dear friend,

The JD7 is a dynamic driver IEMs instead. If you want to use the FH5 still, you may consider to get a left unit from us. (Contact us via support@fiio.com)

Best regards

I would like to publicly thank the FiiO support team if it complies with forum rules. On 21.10.2023., I posted my issue in this thread, and they quickly contacted me, suggesting a solution. I sent the IEM by mail, and they were promptly repaired and returned. While I can't explicitly claim it, they now sound better than before. I haven't encountered such high-quality and well-organized support before.
