One thing that has never failed to surprise me is how controlled the FD7 is regardless of volume level, I can’t think of any other IEM that I’ve owned / heard that doesn’t fall on its face at higher volumes to one extent or another.

To provide context and scorn in equal measure, I’m talking about (as representative example) just past 4 o’clock on the volume dial on my K7BT…

Well, I use the Meze Elite and the Empyrean with the angled pads. The iBasso SR3 has good timbre also and the Focal Clear Mg.

If you want to ditch cables try ifi go pods they are expensive but they pair well and sound amazing with my fd7 .

FD7 for me is not at all fatiguing. It may be my sources RS6, PM2 and EF400.

FD7 is not just FiiO's best IEM but it is one of best all rounders out there right now. It is the most rounded performer I have ever had even comparing with my full size headphones. Top stuff from FiiO.

I prefer them with my Sony A307 even compared to my Sony M9's

Think of getting some FDX just as an unused collectable even though already have FD7.

Will be regarded as a classic, by me anyway.

Good enough for me. I also had the 1ZM2 for a week too.

Via 3.5mm the A307 holds to the 3.5mm 1AM2 IMO but the 4.4mm balanced is a clear improvement, but its the IEM's that are the most significant impact on audio.

I do prefer my Fiio BTR7 vs A307 on pure audio quality.

How well the Fd7 scales surprised me. They sound good with a btr5 or m11 pro, they sound better yet with the ifi go pod for wireless listening and even better with the gryphon or dx312.
