Nice to hear that the compliment each other. I have the Z1R and have been wanting to get the FD7 and wanted to make sure it would be a reasonable purchase.

More than reasonable. Dynamic earphones for the price IMO just don't get much better. Especially if you take a premium to accuracy and timbre. If you get them, plan on doing some solid burn in. You will hear for yourself what a difference that makes for the FD7.

My fd7 been burning for 20hrs only.
Today is first time to try the largest nozzles. The result is really unexpected.
The sound stage is further widened, the treble unexpectedly relaxing rather than exciting.
But the bass became less controlled, which is not a bad thing for some kinds of musics.
Using middle size nozzles make me like sit in front of a studio pannel, everything is just fine , bass is tight , mids is ought to be, highs is polite.
As if I am in a professional mode to inspect every notes of a song.
On the other hand, using largest nozzles is an enjoyment and relaxation. I don't need to "read" the music but "feel" the music.
As if I sit on a sofa with a cup of whisky, just let the music flows from a pair of standing speaking 10 meters away from me.

Which eartips have you guys been using? There are so many possible nozzle + eartip combinations... I've found that the balanced nozzle + balanced eartips seems to work best for me, for now.
