Okay, so my L7 arrived.... very nice little add-on to the E7 to allow it to be used as a DAC for ANY amp...that is, if I was able to get it to work. The Fiio E7 states 'dock' on the screen, and the USB cable is still charging it, but my computer doesn't wanna pick up that the E7 is being connected. It picks it up through the E7 alone, as well as when it's docked to the E9, but not through the L7.... thoughts? I even tried turning USB charging OFF. No dice.

Looks like I'm gonna have to return this back to Micca-Store.... my computer is not even picking up that there is a device.

I do have a first release E7. Mine works as a DAC even when it's off, and the Fiio logo doesn't light up. Might the L7 only work with recent E7s?

Yes, 4 different cables. Why would the USB cables work with the E7 alone but not the L7? It's obviously the L7 that's not working. My E7 works on all my USB inputs, with all the cables. The L7 doesn't.

I'll suspect a pin in the USB socket isn't connecting well.

Oh well, I already purchased an e7 + e9 combo though... (might be for sale soon.. planning on upgrading to HDP).

I already responded via PM, but yea this sounds like a bad contact in the L7. Swapping it for another unit should fix the issue, which we would of course be glad to do.
