So, I need a DAC because I have garbage onboard sound card on my computer but I also need a portable amp because I like to sometimes sit on the couch with my ipod and listen to my K702's. Eventually I will be getting ATH M50's for portable headphones so from what I understand they benefit from a mobile DAC/AMP.
 
Any advice guys?

Should I get an apple 30-pin to 3.5mm adapter so I can utilize the DAC portion for on the go?
