Do I need to run any plugins with foobar2000 for bitperfect with the Fiio E7 on Windows 7? I've heard that the Fiio E7 doesn't require any additional plugins.

If it does require plugins, how can I achieve bitperfect with games?

Sorry this is all too confusing for me. I've looked through the forums but I can't find any answers.

As I understand it, here you go:http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_out_wasapi

1. Extract File
2. Place the .dll file in the Foobar2000 components folder
3. Restart Foobar
4. In Foobar go to File>Preferences>Playback>Output>Set Device to WASAPI Speakers(USB Audio DAC)

Done

Thanks, but is this the only way to to get bitperfect? I'm assuming I won't be able to get bitperfect with games and other apps?

this thread is so wrong. The term bit perfect applies to digital out not analog. the E7 doesn't have spdif out. what you are doing is using asio which is kernal streaming for lower latency. Also i'm not sure if the pcm2706 in the fiio could be bit perfect even if you diy a spdif or optical output.
