I just got my E6 today and am absolutely loving it , just that I would like to know what does EQ1 (red) do, EQ2 (blue) do, and EQ3 ( purple??? im colour deficient. ) do, I've read that 1 and 2 increase bass,and the eq off means flat response, but im not very sure about EQ 3. 
 
Help me please!
 
Also some numbers would be useful.
 
I use a Sansa Clip Zip and a GR07 with it.

The "purple" mode is actually low gain, to be used with sources that output too high voltage that would cause the E6's input to clip in the default mode. It cannot be used together with the EQ.

I do not know how the Clp Zip compares, but the Clip+ would work with the default gain.

I see,thanks! and what is the average battery life of the E6? and how long does it take to be charged??

It is rated for 10 hours, and takes about 2 hours to recharge via USB (during which it can also be used).
