I am thinking of getting the fiio e6 but I have a question.
1)I use an iPhone for source, will I hear a big difference? My tracks are mostly just 320kbps. No flac
2)do I need the l3 cable? My song quality isn't that good. But will it help?

3)also, can anyone explain the 3db thug because I dont really get it. Especially the +/- 3db. What difference does it make? How does it help when I listen acoustic and classical music.

Thanks guys!!! Buying this Saturday!

Really why? Many people say that it need amping

I assume they didn't spend much time or even have the SRH940 then.

But everyone has their opinion.

It's a pretty efficient headphone, it doesn't need amplification. If you want an external amp for it's equalizer properties, that's one thing. I will say though, that if you try to enhance the SRH940's bass too much, it goes to clipping really fast.

Very best,

I think the DAC matters more , than the amp. I've noted important differences by going from an mp3 player to xonar stx
with the srh940.
I highly recommend that you mod the srh940 by increasing depth of ear cups , by using a rope for instance (see end of
my review).
