Hi guys, any of you have replaced the E5 battery, mine needs replacement. I read it uses same battery as ipod shuffle, however i couldn't figure out which generation of ipod shuffle it shares the same type of battery.
 
Can any of you folks help?

Any kind soul can help? I'm sure by now some of you guys have had the battery depleted. Or you guys just buy another one?

I've never changed one or have an E5, what I would do is take the battery out and see how many Volts it is and it's Current rating.
You will also have to find one that is the same size, so measure length x width and height, start searching for batteries on the net till you find one. The type of battery is very important as well, It's probably a Lithium Polymer but I am not 100% sure on that, there should be a model number on it that you can search as well.
 
You have soldering skills yes? As it is soldered to the board.
Other than that I would just scrap it and buy an E6, but buy from an authorized seller as there are a lot of fakes on eBay.

You can deplete the battery and check the curved words on it(if they do exist).
