I have an Ipod Touch 4G and would like to know which would sound better with a line out cable. Default sq from the touch was pretty awful but using the EQU app it sounds far better. The sound still feels quite cold and reading "Dale's" review of the Fiio E12 on Amazon he says that the E12 brings life to the music and the sq is way better than the stock itouch sq(as it bypasses the internal amp), which all sounds great but I wonder how it compares to the E17. 
 
This is for portable use.
 
So which should I go for. 
 
My portable headphones: Modded hd439 (Later planning to get the Philips Fidelio L2 when it becomes available here)

I'm sorry for bumping this up so fast but I'm buying the amp in an hour and would like to know which would serve me better, the e12 or the e17, which combo would have better sq?
 
Or should I just stick with my Fiio E6?
