Sadly, my E10 only made it one week before the 3.5mm mini plug (used as a DAC only) became so loose that the connection would be noisy all the time.  I thought the DAC portion performed quite well for the price-point.  But, there was also a background sound that could be heard when the music was paused.  I tried many USB cables and ports, but could not resolve this issue.

I've requested an RMA and will return it to the vendor for a refund.  None of my other USB DACs exhibit that background noise at all.

Based upon my experience, I would love if Fiio would put $10 worth towards better components for this amp / DAC and adjust the price accordingly.  I think this would make for an excellent product that would still fall under $100 (US $$) and wouldn't have nearly as many support issues and warranty replacements taking place.

We already change the 3.5mm headphone socket in E10 and for other models, we have  changed to our own headphone socket which cost us about 20,000 in the tooling mold.

Anyway , I am very sorry about this but the defective rate of E10 still very low. thanks for your support.

Great to hear! Also, have any filters been added to the E10? I know in the one I had, it had quite a bit of noise when the music was paused. I have not experienced such noise with my other USB DACs.

Outside of that, I really thought the E10's DAC component pair with a separate amp delivered a really nice sound to my Grado RS1i headphones.

there are a very simple filters inside E10 but not a very complex one cause the limit of space. anyway, there will have not noticeable hiss from E10 unless the USB port is very " noise "

Unfortunately my e10 jack is a real pain and I have been forced to replace it with a E 07 andes. It was one of the very early models and has had this problem si

I was unaware that others have had this problem until I joined Head Fi last week. It would have been nice to have had Fiio replace it, but I nave to say that other then the jack issue fiio is fabulous stuff.
